Geological Advisory Board
FREDERICK BREAKS, PH.D. AND QP
Fred is a professional geologist and has geological degrees from The University of British Columbia, McMaster University, and Carleton University. He has been the author and co-author of over 120 publications. Fred is a member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario, and his career of 40 years has involved extensive field work with the Ontario Geological Survey (OGS) to 2008 and currently as an independent geological consultant. Work with the OGS involved diverse geological mapping projects that cumulatively covered over 150,000 km2 of granite-greenstone terrain and high-grade metasedimentary belts in the Canadian Shield of Ontario. Fred has experience with many mineral deposit-types in the Archean shield, including rare-earth elements, uranium, lode gold, banded iron formation, base metals, cobalt, and lithium-rich, rare element pegmatites. Work locations elsewhere included Quebec, British Columbia, Colorado and Nevada. Ore deposit specialization focused upon rare metal mineralization ( Li, Be, Cs, Nb, Rb, and Ta) and the rare earth elements. This work established a genetic connection between the rare metals and specific granite types (S-type peraluminous intrusions) and was published in peer-reviewed papers. This genetic model led to major discoveries of the largest lithium deposits in Ontario: the Separation Rapids pegmatite and the Pakeagama Lake pegmatites in NW Ontario, the focus of current development respectively by Avalon Advanced Materials and Frontier Lithium. Fred presently is an independent consulting geologist for the mining industry.

KEN HODGSON
Ken has been instrumental in the Soloro Copper and Gold Corporation’s property acquisition and development program. Ken grew up in a mining family. He has worked for various companies including running grade control for Exxon Minerals Highland Uranium mine in Wyoming. In 1979, he was appointed general manager for Houston Mining and Resources Company and was placed in charge of their Arizona silver mining operations. Ken has owned or controlled dozens of mining properties in many Western states. Ken has identified highly desirable gold properties and made many efforts, over decades, to acquire and consolidate them. In 2012, certain of these properties became available for staking. Ken acquired title to the three Soloro properties in New Mexico, and vended them into Soloro Copper and Gold Corporation for development. He will continue to be active in an advisory/consulting capacity for the company.
